Medical School Interview Practice

Once the hurdles or UCAS application, UKCAT and personal statement preparation have been cleared, many students are lucky enough to be called for an interview!

Most, if not all UK medical and dental schools now make offers only after interviews.

All students on the M&D Pre-Med are offered several chances to prepare for medical or dental school interview.

These sessions usually last about 30 minutes and are conducted by experienced M&D consultants, with an interviewing panel that usually includes teachers, medical or dental students, nurses, practising doctors or dentists and a lay person.

Practice for interviews is essential for a number of reasons. It helps build confidence by giving candidates advice on the best ways to answer the stickiest questions and providing instructive feedback.

These sessions are usually conducted at the University of Sussex and/or Central London. All M&D Pre-Med students have reserved places at these sessions. In addition, there may be some opportunity to accept external students in exceptional circumstances.
